Dr.A.Sankar
Dr.A.Sankar is the Chief Dental Surgeon and Pedodontist of Smiles 'N' Sparkles Multispeciality Dental Care. He has obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from one of the India's premier dental institute Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital in 2003, and his Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Ragas Dental College & Hospital under The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University in 2010. He has also obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Hospital Management from Alagappa University in 2008. He has undergone Senior House Surgeon Training in King George Hospital, Andhra Medical College, Vishakapatnam in 2004. He has clinical experience for nearly 10 years and has presented various scientific papers in Conferences at National level.
He has conducted a study using a new material (MTA) in the treatment of fractured teeth of children during his Masters Degree which was very well accepted at International level. He has a Scientific article published in the International Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry, USA to his credit. He has conducted dental screening camps in various schools and interactive child dental awareness programs for the parents in various preschools. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pedodontics, SRM Kattankulathur Dental College, Chennai. He is also a Consultant Pedodontist in more than 15 reputed Dental Clinics in Chennai including Velammal Dental Hospital in Anna Nagar, Mugappair, Kolathur, Chennai Smiles in T.Nagar, etc., He is a Professional Member of Indian Dental Association (IDA).
